That’s one of my favorite quotes from Taylor Kitsch. Earlier this year I was planning to photograph a rodeo in Raleigh. Schedules changed and it didn’t work out, so, of COURSE I looked forward to a second opportunity! Saturday was my day. The Carolina Sunrock Concrete Mixer Truck Rodeo!

The rodeo involved drivers competing in written and physical skills test to see who goes to the regional, state and national competition this year.

I could not have done what these drivers did in my Mini Cooper!

I’m in awe of the competence, the camaraderie, and love for their work, of everyone there. From narrow lanes involving tennis balls, you couldn’t touch, to parallel parking (yes, I could parallel park the Mini).

Target practice.

And for fun, a bit of basketball and even an egg drop.

Congratulations to Shannon Trapp on his winning Run!
